A note to our customers
Written and posted from the bench, one last time.
We thank all of our customers for their loyal and valued custom over the last few years. We’ve decided it’s time to hang up our keys.
To everyone who sent us a slightly blurry photo of a worn out key and then waited by the letterbox: you kept this workshop busy for years. The repeat orders, the questions asked late at night, the reviews telling us it turned first time. We were grateful for all of it, and we still are.
The shop has stopped taking orders and it will not be reopening, so this page is all that is left of vdubkeys.co.uk. Everything that was paid for was cut, packed and posted before we shut the doors.
It has been a good run. Look after your spares, and keep one somewhere safe.

The practical bits
Before you go
Orders and payments
The store is closed and no new orders can be placed. Every order that was paid for has been cut, packed and posted. Nothing is outstanding, and the site no longer takes or holds card details.
Something you bought from us
If you have a question about an item from one of our final orders, write to info@vdubkeys.co.uk and we will help where we can.
Your account and your data
Customer accounts have been closed and personal data is being removed in line with UK data protection rules. Nothing has been sold on or passed to anyone else.
If you still need a key
A good independent auto locksmith or VW specialist will sort you out. Two things worth asking before you commit: can they code the key to your vehicle as well as cut the blade, and does the key they are quoting match the blank your car actually takes.
Check the part number against your V5 before buying anything online, and if you have a working key left, get a spare cut from it rather than from a photo. It is cheaper and quicker every time.
Signing off
Wherever you’re headed, we hope the key turns first time.
